Video is DSNP.
Existing subs are either dogshit (Hulu), or horribly misaligned dubtitles (DSNP). [Hulu vs DSNP](https://www.diffchecker.com/IFdKe44c/). [DSNP vs whomst](https://www.diffchecker.com/6XgQOV4g/)
This is a realignment/edit/fix/whatever of the dubtitles to work with the Japanese audio.
Translation accuracy not guaranteed, but at least a decent watching experience is.

@ninjastarforcex If you're referring to 18:17 where Tsukasa talks to Inori's mom and calls her お母さん, that's not her name. That literally means mom. You don't call someone else's mom "mom" in English
Your subs are great. The one and only line that annoys me in the entire script is at 10:47 "Nice idea punch!" was for some reason translated from... English to English as "Check out the big brain on you, smarty." Thank you so much for actually putting in work it's nice to see there are still fansubbers who actually care about more than doing some shitty upscale re-encode just to put their name on it. /hug
fwiw it's not uncommon to change English in the Japanese script to different English in the final English script. Reasons vary (mostly janky English or [wasei-eigo](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasei-eigo) (aka "English" loanwords in Japanese that don't actually mean the same thing in English)). Not sure that's the case here, but if it was deliberately changed, I'd always assume it's to allow for better overall flow in the subs.
@LightArrowsEXE I suggest reading up on dubtitles. They're completely rewritten english to match animation mouth flaps. It has nothing to do with loanwords or wasei-eigo or flow.
@Nobodyspecial I appreciate the support and feedback
@ergzay Light's not wrong, nor are you about the flaps often matching up. In this case though, the dub lip flaps don't match up with the dubtitles. Her mouth opens a total of 4 times, which could easily be split into Nice | i | dea | punch, and doesn't at all line up with "Check out the big brain on you, smarty."
I deliberately opted to keep the dubtitles for that line because frankly it's better than "Nice idea punch", as the dub clearly agreed. In saying that, I'm always open to reasoning
Stuff like "Okaasan" would've just be left like that In The Golden Age of Fansubbing. Anime fans, being picked from the top half of the human intelligence curve, quickly comprehend that its meaning isn't exactly "my mother" after seeing it used in context a couple of times -- and those who have a chimpout because it wasn't fakesubbed with perfect English Grammar get told to gb2pokemon. Falling back to Enganese is less shameful than doing what happened with Urusei Yatsura being translated into high-school teacher English and becoming unwatchable.
If you guys think such you're hot stuff and could do it better, (me included), then pls help out with the release lmao. Only you can be the change you want to see in this world. Go beyond the impossible and kick Aegisub into gear. Clicking on keyframes all day and making the text spin is more fun than you'd think :^)
And always remember, the real fansub was the friends we made along the way.
