Better releases are now available. Watch them instead, per below:

  • For Episode 1: Watch GeeYuSubs’s release instead for a completely original translation with equally nice timing.
  • For Episode 2+: Watch the Salchow releases going forward. Rather than competing, the users behind the various Ep1 fan releases have grouped up to relieve GeeYu of the chore of all the miscellaneous Timing/Typesetting/QC/etc duties to focus on TL and prevent burnout, and hopefully get out high quality releases quickly. Feel free to help out if you have the time.

Video Disney+ 1080p (ToonsHub Rip)
Subtitles Hulu (Modified)
Timing/Typesetting Inori Appreciators Association

The purpose of this release was to clean up the Hulu non-Dubtitles and bundle them with Disney video before the fan translation appeared.
Hearing impaired directions were removed, some lines retimed (was pretty burnt out), typesetting and honorifics. Some lines that were missing or did not fit the amount of lines spoken were lifted from the manga, re-worded in English where I felt they were absolutely necessary to fit the actual timing. I think I used 1 line used from the Disney dubtitles. This is not a retranslation.

I was hopeful, but the subs are still shit for anyone wondering. Probably even more shit than the original Hulu subs. Hulu vs ToT.
Here are some fun excerpts:
> “This is so fun~!”
> Using hyphens instead of em dashes
> Not only using Oniisan/Oneechan/Okaasan, but also using it when characters refer to themselves, instead of literally just using “I”
> A shit-ton of errors (missing/incorrect punctuation, double words, incorrect capitalizations, wrong phrasing, etc.)

The typesetting is great, the encode is alright, the timing/line breaks are below average, but the script is complete garbage.

Not only using Oniisan/Oneechan/Okaasan, but also using it when characters refer to themselves, instead of literally just using “I”

This is a compliment coming from the guy who re-translated English “Nice idea punch” to “Check out the big brain on you, smarty.”

If only there was a link on his release to show you what was changed in the script.
Check out the big brain on you, smarty.
